Do I need to replace my existing Firewall?
You can keep your existing firewall or replace it if you prefer. The RabbitRun device will handle NAT for the public IP, and when combined with our Overlay, it avoids double NAT issues that can affect Voice or Point-of-Sale traffic.
We also offer flexible options:
✓ Use your current network setup without changing your firewall’s ISP-assigned public IP.
✓ Get new floating static IP addresses delivered through our SD-WAN Overlay.
Can I Keep My Existing ISP IP Address for My Firewall with SD-WAN?
✓ There’s no need to modify firewall rules, VPN configurations, or hosted service settings.
✓ Bridges the LAN (p3 port) and WAN (WAN1 port) to create WAN3 for seamless passthrough.
✓ Retains your firewall’s current IP address, eliminating the need to reconfigure VPNs or hosted applications.
✓ Actively monitors and intercepts Voice, Point-of-Sale, and other mission-critical traffic, providing automatic failover to a secondary ISP or RabbitRun’s Multi-Carrier Cellular service.
Can I Keep My Existing Firewall and Protect My VPN with Failover?
Yes, you can continue using your existing firewall while adding failover protection and public IP support.
✓ Assign real public IP addresses on the Overlay and NAT traffic to your firewall.
✓ Use a floating public IP from RabbitRun directly on your firewall to maintain VPN stability during failover.
✓ Both options allow you to protect VPN connectivity without major firewall changes.
Note: Additional charges apply for Overlay DMZ Public IPs and any extra public IPs assigned to your firewall.
Can I use RabbitRun for only my Voice or POS traffic and Keep my existing Firewall and static IP from my ISP?
Yes, you can simplify Installation & Only Protect Your Voice-over-IP or POS by placing the RabbitRun device in parallel with your Firewall and share the ISP connection. Your Firewall can control (via routes or policy) which traffic uses the RabbitRun device.
